Selection recognises researcher’s significant contributions to the field of healthy food retail research

Congratulations to Dr Tara Boelsen-Robinson who has been invited to present at the Asia-Oceania Conference on Obesity (AOCO) as part of the “Rising Star Symposium”, recognising outstanding early-mid career researchers in the Asia-Oceania region working in the field of obesity research.

Dr Boelsen-Robinson was nominated by the Australian and New Zealand Obesity Society as their leading candidate under 35 years of age. The selection recognises her significant contributions to the field of healthy food retail research, characterised by novel methodological and conceptual advancements, collaborative partnerships, and strong emphasis on translation to policy and practice outcomes.

At AOCO, Dr Boelsen-Robinson will present on her current pilot randomised control trial, testing the impact of cocreated implementation tools to support healthy food retail environments, underpinned by a strong partnership with Health and Wellbeing Queensland, and funded through The Australian Prevention Partnership Centre and Deakin University.

This opportunity supports the global relevance, research translation, and international connections between RE-FRESH and the broader obesity prevention research community.

AOCO will held from August 4-6, 2023, in Hong Kong.
