This is a recording from the “Digital influences on public health nutrition” webinar held on Tuesday 26th August 2025.
Following an introduction to the purpose of the event from Julie-Anne McWhinney (State Public Health Nutritionist, Victorian Department of Health), our host, Professor Kathryn Backholer introduced four outstanding Victorian researchers. They shared the latest research on digital food environments and how technology can be used to help communities make healthier choices, support retailers to create healthier outlets and hold food companies accountable for their actions. This was followed by public health nutrition sector updates from the Victorian Department of Health, VicHealth and Deakin University.
